The show will run for nine days from August 17 to August 25.
Given Flint Matapure (3) disappeared at the show last year and his remains were discovered after some months inside the showgrounds.
DNA tests done in South Africa confirmed that the remains indeed belonged to Given, but his parents are contesting the test results.
“We have taken our security precautions a gear up following cases of children disappearing during the show, so we will have Closed Circuit Television cameras this time around,” said ZAS public relations officer Ms Heather Madombwe.
“This is in addition to our own security and the police that will be doing their rounds throughout the event.”
ZAS has already started preparations for the 102nd Harare Agriculture Show, with 300 companies having confirmed participation.
At least 280 exhibitors had confirmed participation during the same period last year.
“We have the capacity of 780 stands that include commercial, industrial and agricultural exhibitions and we hope to fill all of them,” said Ms Madombwe.
Gate charges and the theme of the event are yet to be decided and will be announced in due course.
