ZBC can do much better

Thanks to ZTV for screening some HIFA shows and bringing the festival to everyone.
We hope that next year they will move a notch up and go live on the scene. But well done for making us all a part of the arts fiesta. I had a chance to watch the Music Qalabash that is aired in the afternoon.

It is a musical show where ZTV play our local music and sometimes international but was left in stitches considering we are in the 21st century.

No wonder why many people resort to MTV Base, Channel O, Trace or Mzansi among others. We so love our music but where are the current videos? Or maybe the programme is meant for a certain segment that appreciate that kind of music, which is the downside of having a station that tries to be everything to everyone as versus many channels with each dedicated to a specific audience.  The early hours of Sunday found many us glued to the television for the “Fight of the Century” – Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.

Thank you DStv for screening the match but since it was watched all over the world, was it fair to put it only on Premium bouquet only?
I watched closely the match and by now I think most who had a glimpse of the game now understand the sport.

Mayweather managed to go well in his pace, flawlessly and proved that he is the undefeated champion.

In the end, Mayweather was simply too good for Manny Pacquiao.

The undefeated American boxer put together another master class on how to control a fight. The result is a 48-0 record, a greatly enhanced legacy and a massive pay-day for both sides.

Mayweather won by unanimous decision. Pacquiao (57-6-2) had sporadic moments where he was able to land some combinations and excite a crowd firmly in his favour — not nearly enough of those flurries to convince the judges he deserved to pull off the upset, though.
