ZBC employees hail Minister Moyo

Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation employees who had gone for several months without pay on Friday thanked the Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services for its intervention. In a statement, the employees expressed their gratitude to Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo, his deputy Cde Supa Mandiwanzira and permanent secretary Mr George Charamba for their commitment in ensuring that workers got their outstanding salaries.

“We extend our gratitude to the Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Professor Moyo who worked so hard to make sure that workers at the ZBC get their salaries,” read part of the statement.

“We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Minister, his Deputy, Permanent Secretary and all the staff in the Ministry who facilitated payment of our outstanding salaries.” ZBC employees also thanked the acting chief executive Mr Allan Chiweshe.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the management, in particular the acting chief executive Mr Allan Chiweshe, for a sterling job that led to the payment of workers here at ZBC,” read the statement.
