joined the liberation struggle in 1973 and received military training at Chimbichimbi Camp in Zambia in 1974.
She underwent further training at Mgagao in Tanzania in 1975 where she participated in the drafting of the Mgagao document.
Cde Kajese was assigned to work as a political commissar while based at Nyadzonia, but was later transferred to Chimoio in the same capacity.
In 1979, she was transferred from the commissariat department to Maputo and worked in the women affairs department until 1980 when she returned to Zimbabwe and worked in various organisations.
Cde Kajese joined the Zimbabwe National Army in 1993 as a sergeant and rose through the ranks to warrant officer class one, the rank she held until her death.
Three children and three grand children survive Cde Kajese.
Mourners are gathered at Number 88 Benbigh Avenue in Belvedere, Harare.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
