THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has called on fuel and liquefied petroleum (LP) gas operators whose 2021 operating licenses are expiring on December 31 to start the renewal process by applying for new ones for 2022.

In a statement released this afternoon, ZERA said the applications for new licenses can be done online.

“All applicants for renewal of licenses are required to submit the duly completed licence renewal form accompanied by the requisite supporting documents.

“All operators are reminded that according to Section 29 of the Petroleum Act, it is illegal to procure, sell or produce any petroleum product without a licence issued by the Authority and the necessary steps will be taken on those that do not comply,” reads the statement in part.

Meanwhile, ZERA have issued another statement notifying all fuel operators that the Authority will be accepting 2022 applications for procurement (fuel import) licences while consultations with Government are being finalised.
