There will be increased loadshedding until Friday this week as a result of depressed power generation coupled with increased demand for electricity, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has announced.

In a statement on Tuesday, ZETDC said demand for power was being driven by heightened economic activity in the country.

“Our engineers are working round the clock to ensure full restoration of service,” reads the statement.
