ZINEDINE ZIDANE is the firm favourite to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
The former Real Madrid boss is just 6/ 4 to take over at Old Trafford as the Special One’s job continues to be under threat.
The Red Devils will sack Mourinho if they miss out on the Champions League this season.
Eighth-placed United currently trail Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal in the market to finish in the top four at 4/ 1, leaving Zidane as the bookies’ no 1 candidate to replace the Special One.
The Frenchman has been out of work since he left Madrid last summer — after guiding them to three Champions League titles in as many seasons as manager.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is second favourite at 15/ 2 ahead of Italian pair Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte.
Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “Mourinho has been under pressure from week one of the season but calls for him to go have died down somewhat in recent weeks.
“However, while he might be safe for now, reports say that he’ll be gone by the start of next season if United don’t finish in the top four and with the team eighth in the table now they will need a big few months to get themselves there.
“Zinedine Zidane has long been the favourite to take over and is currently 6 /4 to be next in charge at Old Trafford, while Pochettino is next in line at 15/ 2.
“Allegri and Conte are both at 10/ 1, but we could see a lot of changes in this market over the next few months.”
