Zifa affiliates to tour village

ZIFA affiliates from across the country will this afternoon tour the Zifa Village to familiarise themselves with developments done so far.
Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela said the tour will afford the delegates an opportunity to familiarise  themselves with developments at the facility, situated in Mount Hampden.

“The delegates will tour all the important areas such as rooms, proposed Hall of Fame, venue for the construction of proposed lodges as well as the new artificial training turf pitch,” said Gwesela.

He said all the 10 provinces will be represented, the four football regions, representatives from beach soccer, Area Zones, five-a-side, all the Premiership clubs, Naph and Nash.

“It’s really an all encompassing tour so that stakeholders and affiliates get first hand information on the project.  We will obviously not leave out the 12th player, which is the recognised supporters group, the Friends of Warriors as well as members of the media,” said Gwesela.

Zifa chief executive officer Jonathan Mashingaidze is expected to take the delegates through the tour with his boss, Cuthbert Dube, also expected to address the delegates after that.
