ZIFA is still to make a decision on the participation of the Young Warriors at the Cosafa Under-20 Championship in South Africa next month.
The Cosafa Under-20 Championship makes a return after a three-year hiatus with this yeara��s edition to be played in Rustenburg, North West Province in South Africa and sponsored by cement manufacturer PPC.
The tournament will run from 7-16 December.
a�?The decision to take part in the Cosafa Championship has not been reached but the fact that Zimbabwe was part of the draw should count for something as far as our commitment to taking part in regional tournaments is concerned,a�? said Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela.
Zimbabwe was grouped in Pool B together with Zambia and Malawi in a draw that was conducted in Johannesburg last month.
South Africa were the last winners of the tournament in 2013 beating Kenya 2-0 in Lesotho.
In June Zifa withdrew the national Under -17 side from the 2017 Orange Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers citing lack of funds.
Zimbabwe was supposed to meet the Comoro Islands in a first round, first leg away tie of the qualifiers by Zifa failed to secure funding for the trip.
At the time Chiyangwa said Zifa would assess the costs and benefits of participating in future international tournaments but would avoid partaking in competitions when there was inadequate funding.

Group B Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi
Group C: Angola, Namibia, Seychelles, Mauritius
