ZIFA is set to conduct trials in Harare this weekend to select an age-group women’s team to represent the nation at the upcoming COSAFA Under-17 Girls Championship in Mozambique.

A statement from ZIFA said the association is targeting players born between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2010.

The ZIFA Women’s Football Coordinator is handling the registrations, which close on Wednesday.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association invites aspiring young footballers to participate in trials for the Under-17 Girls National Team set to participate in the COSAFA U17 Girls Championship in Maputo, Mozambique from December 4 to 13, 2024,” said ZIFA in a statement.

“All participants must present a valid passport on the day of the trials. Further information shall be available after registration.

“We encourage all talented players who meet the age requirements to attend this important event and showcase their skills for a chance to represent the nation on the international stage.”
