BULAWAYO City’s relegation from the Premier Soccer League has made life unbearable for four teams in the Zifa Southern Region as the second tier league will now be forced to chop five instead of the normal four teams.
Any of the following teams Mosi Rovers, Casmyn, Moto Moto and CIWU could suffer the pain of going down to Division Two since five teams will now be joining the region’s Division One league.
Already relegated are NRZ Leopards, Toronto, ZRP Bulawayo and Mainline heading into the last two games of the season.
This afternoon Victoria Falls-based Mosi Rovers welcome Premiership bound Hwange at Chinotimba Stadium, Moto Moto play host to CIWU while Casmyn will be at Barbourfields Stadium against Bosso 90 tomorrow where they will curtain raise for Highlanders and Harare City.
“Normally we should have relegated four teams but because of the Bulawayo City scenario, we will now chop five while welcoming four from Division Two from Bulawayo and Matabeleland North,” said Zifa Southern Region board member Fiso Siziba.
