Zifa suspends official

Dhlamini-Moyo has since her arrival at Zifa handled some of the association’s communications but had lately been reduced to cameo roles with the duo of Zifa president Cuthbert Dube and chief executive Jonathan Mashingaidze dealing directly with the media.
Although Mashingaidze was not at liberty to share much light on the reasons behind Dhlamini-Moyo’s suspension, it is believed that the move is linked to allegations of insubordination.
Mashingaidze only issued a brief statement revealing their decision to suspend Dhlamini-Moyo with the Zifa chief executive indicating that he would handle the communications portfolio on an interim basis.
“Zifa have suspended their communications manager Nichollette Dhlamini Moyo and have indicated that she will remain barred from conducting the association’s business until she has appeared before a disciplinary committee.
“The Zimbabwe Football Association would like to announce that the Zifa communications manager Mrs Nichollette Dhlamini-Moyo has been suspended from all association football activities pending her appearance before a disciplinary tribunal.
“In the meantime the communication portfolio of the Zimbabwe Football Association shall be handled by the person and office of the Zifa executive,’’ read Mashingaidze’s statement.
