Zim A confident of upsetting SA

Zimbabwe A coach Stephen Mangongo said they had a strong meeting with the players after the back-to-back defeats and the team responded positively with an emphatic eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
Mangongo said they have equal chances of winning today if they improve in their batting.
“If you look at those matches, we were not far off the mark.
“Those were close losses and I would think we didn’t quite concentrate in our batting.
“Our bowling has been doing well and we hope to continue in the same vein.
“We learnt a few things from the games we played in this series and as we go into the final we are emphasising on the key aspect of getting a good total,” said Mangongo.
South Africa A, who have been the dominant side in the series, beat Zimbabwe A by two wickets in the first meeting thanks to an unbeaten 89 runs by Colin Ingram and a feisty contribution of 40 runs from 25 balls from Rory Kleinveldt in that tight chase.
Top order batsmen Tino Mawoyo (52), Sikandar Raza (81) and Craig Ervine (49), who batted at number five, did well in building a competitive total while the bowlers threw everything at the opponents in the losing cause.
But Zimbabwe A were let down by their batting in the sides’ next meeting when they lost by 41 runs.
Mangongo’s men gave up the fight meekly to be bowled out for 174 after the bowlers had done a good job to restrict the opponents to a modest total of 215 runs.
The Zimbabweans will be hoping for an all round performance after lifting their morale with the shattering win over Sri Lanka.
Former national team skipper Elton Chigumbura’s seam bowling won them the match when he claimed a career best 6-24 to skittle out the Asians for a measly 81 runs.
