THE Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has set an ambitious target of 580 exhibitors for this year’s Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, scheduled to run from August 25 to 30 in Harare.
The 2025 edition will also mark the society’s 130-year milestone of showcasing the country’s agricultural innovation and progress.
Addressing a Press conference on Wednesday, ZAS chief executive Mr Rufaro Alfred Gunundu said the 115th edition of the show will run under the theme; “Building Bridges, Connecting Agriculture, Industry and Communities.”
The theme reflects the society’s broader mission to bring together players from across the agricultural value chain, including farmers, industry leaders, policymakers and development partners.
“To date, 304 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation,” he said.
“We are steadily progressing towards our goal of 580 exhibitors, with 63 000 square metres of space already taken up out of a targeted 89 000.”
He described the show as “a platform to reflect on progress, tackle emerging challenges and open new avenues for growth and sustainability within our agricultural economy.”
Mr Gunundu said a number of foreign embassies have expressed strong interest in exhibiting, as they seek to showcase their countries’ produce and innovations.
“We have received strong interests from various embassies willing to participate as they showcase their country’s agricultural produce,” he added.
“We are also still open for many to come aboard.”
This year’s event will feature a robust line-up of business-to-business (B2B) engagements, which will include participation from policymakers, industry executives and sector experts.
