ZIMBABWEAN comedian Alfred Kainga might follow the footsteps of Trevor Noah and become one of Africaa��s biggest comedy exports to Hollywood, after the debut of American superstar Kevin Harta��s comedy series which he is featured in.
The show, called The Hart of the City, sees comedya��s biggest star take the pulse of the comedy scene in eight major cities across the United States. Defined as both a stand-up series and a travel show, Hart of the City follows Kevin Hart through various destinations as he seeks out the freshest and finest voices in the local stand-up scene in every particular city.
Each episode features stand-up sets from a different group of local comedians with interstitial segments featuring Hart and those comedians discussing the comedy climate in their city.
The 36-year-old Mbare-born Kainga is part of the Houston crew which also includes Ken Boyd, Crystal Powell and Tim Mathis. The series aired for the first time on Comedy Central last week.
Before relocating to his current base, Kainga went to Chitsere Primary School before his mother moved their family to Cranborne in the later years where he attended Prince Edward School for six years. He also attended Chemhanza Secondary School.
Asked by Hart what he expected from the show in a round table discussion as part of a promotional video for the show, Kainga noted that he expected it to propel his professional exploits.

They dona��t know me there yet but as soon as that show comes up (that is going to change). That is what I believe in. Ita��s just going to change and propel our careers to the next level,a�? he said.
