Zim Covid-19 recovery rate at 79.9 percent

THE Covid-19 recovery rate in Zimbabwe has once again dipped below 80 percent, with 62 new cases and one death recorded on Tuesday.

The one death was in Bulawayo, where five new cases were recorded. The city has 105 known active Covid-19 cases.

According to the latest report by the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Mashonaland West had the highest number of new new cases with 26, followed by Matabeleand South with 10.

The country recorded 62 new cases in total, with the recovery rate dropping from 80.3 percent recorded on Monday.

“51 are local cases and 11 are returnees from SA. 20 total new recoveries were reported: National Recovery rate stands at 79.9% and active cases go up to 1115 today,” the report read.
