Grant Hudson and Brett Krog had started the game on a promising note on Wednesday but they fell by the wayside in a disappointing second round.
Hudson had the most difficult day in the field when he posted a 14-over par score.
The Zimbabwean junior golfer had had a good 32-place outing on the first day but tumbled to 59th yesterday while Krog slipped three places down the ladder to position 56 from 53 in the first round.
The duo is likely not to make it to the finals if a cut is placed for the third round.
The Zimbabweans had the worst experience as they tumbled to the bottom 11 in the field.
The 48th edition of the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship features a 103-player field from 35 countries and Zimbabwe, South Africa and Egypt are the three African countries who managed to send representatives.
Hudson and Krog had prepared well for the games but as usual the weather may have affected them.
The duo may now look forward to the Ray Stracker Junior Championship which will be held at Chapman here in Harare next week. The tournament will see most of the local junior golfers battling it out for the top honours before the schools re-open. The juniors will miss action during the school days and will resume competitive matches during the April school holidays.
