ZIMBABWE yesterday named the Cheetahs who will play in the Confederation of African Rugby Cup Sevens tournament set for Prince Edward this weekend.

Coach Gilbert Nyamutsamba said Zimbabwe are in the Group of Death but he is confident the players will rise to the challenge.

Most national teams with the exception of South Africa, who are expected this morning, are already in the country for the high-profile 12-team tournament.

Zimbabwe were drawn in Pool A together with Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria.

“We have been drawn up in a tough group, I think if we were in soccer you could say we are in the ‘Group of Death’,” said Nyamutsamba.

“If you notice the squad that was selected, we mixed senior experienced players with the youthful players who are coming into the system to give the team a good balance. I feel that we chose a really strong side.”
