Zim producer brings together Zambiaas Cleo, SAas Bucie

PRODUCER Tatenda Kamera recently became the third Zimbabwean to take part in this yearas edition of South African TV channel eTVas flagship music collaboration programme, Coke Studio.

Kamera produced the song Kamera, which saw South Africaas famed queen of house music Bucie come together with former Zambian Big Brother representative and rap star, Cleo Ice Queen.

Kamera follows Buffalo Souljah and Ammara Brown who both have made lauded appearances on the show which puts artistes from different genres together so that they can cook up songs that showcase the sum of their individual talents meshed together.

For this instalment of the series, Kamera and Cleoas hip-hop roots were stirred in the same pot with Bucieas house music leanings.

The song fulfils the showas multi-cultural and multi genre mandate, as Bucieas crooning is mixed effortlessly with Cleoas rapid fire rap verses. The song, which promotes unity as its title suggests, also sees the two interchange the languages that they use, with Cleoas verses comprising of both Chewa and English while Bucie mixes the queenas language with a bit of Zulu.

Producing the song, the video of which has over 20 000 hits on YouTube thus far, is just one of the produceras latest achievements as he keeps on bagging big placements.

Kamera is the man behind South African heavyweight DJ Maphorisaas latest single with Nigerian star Patoranking.

He also produced two songs in Ice Prince upcoming album, while he has also produced a number of hits for artistes both locally and continentally.
