FOUR students from Maranatha High School scooped four awards in Nigeria for their innovative application known as Study Buddie.
Their coach, Brain Nyabadza, was over the moon that his students emerged first, out of nine other countries.
“I am happy that our team is now going to represent Africa next year and we are not yet sure about the dates and venue.
“During this Junior Achievement National Competition we managed to get various awards such as Rise Award, Future Tech Award, Project Management Award and Junior Achievement Africa Company of the Year Award 2022, which had a cash prize .
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the nation for supporting us,” he said.
Added Nyabadza:
“If we win in the global competition we are going to get about US$15 000.”
Maranatha students formed a company known as Hekima Incorporated.
They developed an application known as Study Buddie meant to address challenges faced by both urban and rural pupils as far as data is concerned.
