He said a breakfast meeting would be hosted at Chapman Golf Club next Wednesday to meet some of the stakeholders expected at the conference.
“The stability that the Zimbabwe economy is currently experiencing is a conducive one for mining equipment manufacturers, distributors, and dealers and other support sectors to position themselves and introduce their brands, products and services to all the country’s mining districts.
“In light of recovering world minerals and metals prices, and expanding mining sectors across the globe, the requirements for finding new mining technology with the modern and economic technological advantages is critical for development of a sustainable mining industry,” he said.
The event, which is pencilled in for July 17 and 18 will also see participation by exhibitors from other fields including civil works, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and engineering.
The conference will see delegates debating and discussing topical mining and infrastructure development issues, both from local and global perspectives.
According to Mr Bingandadi, the key target sectors for the event include mining, agriculture, construction, the automotive industry, transport, land development, real estate, insurance, shipping, freight and forwarding, banking and finance, and manufacturing.
Sectors such as mining, property and construction are seemingly benefiting from the sub-prime market failure that precipitated the global financial crises, albeit the deepening austerity pressures in the eurozone whose impact on the developing countries is not yet quantified and determined.
To this extent the sectors are showing immense growth potential in the foreseeable future.
The Zimbabwe Mining, Tools and Plant Equipment Expo and Conference is billed to attract a wide array of mining, construction, land development, civil and engineering works, transport and plant equipment products and services exhibitors.
On display will be all-terrain carriers, attachments, components, earthmoving, dumpers, tractors, trailers, environmental and bulk material handling, recycling, safety, transportation, trenching, trucks, and utility materials and supplies, and consumables.
