YADAH FC coach, Genesis Mangombe, led the Zimbabwe football team to bronze in the SARPCCO Games yesterday.

Zimbabwe and Namibia could not be separated, after a goalless draw, but wrapped up the match, 4-2, after a penalty shootout.

“Zimbabwe was the team to beat at this tournament.

“With that in mind, all our matches were tough, in terms of poor officiating, and bad tackles,” Mangombe.

“I am happy to collect a bronze medal and I dedicate it to our Commissioner General of Police and our sponsors.

“Our players got a feel of regional competitions and they learnt a lot in terms of game approach.”

Tanzania and Malawi qualified for the final, which brings the curtain down at the SARPCCO Games at Uhuru Stadium today.
