ZIMTRADE is facilitating the participation of Zimbabwean companies at the Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show (ZACS) 2026 in Lusaka as local exporters intensify efforts to unlock new market opportunities in Zambia and the wider Southern African region.

Running from July 29 to August, ZACS is one of Southern Africa’s largest multi-sector exhibitions, with organisers expecting more than 1 300 exhibitors and 200 000 visitors from over 20 countries.
The exhibition offers Zimbabwean firms direct access to buyers, distributors, agents and investors from across the region.

Under a coordinated national pavilion organised by ZimTrade, participating companies from the agricultural inputs and equipment, processed foods, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), building materials, services and light industrial products sectors will showcase their products and services.
For ZimTrade, participation at ZACS 2026 represents a strategic opportunity to expand Zimbabwe’s export footprint in the region.

“The show provides direct entry into Zambia, one of Zimbabwe’s key regional trading partners, while also creating links into SADC and COMESA markets,” said ZimTrade in its latest newsletter.

The trade development agency said Zimbabwe has maintained a strong presence at the exhibition over the years, with previous participants securing distribution agreements, agency partnerships and long-term supply contracts.
Some companies have gone on to establish permanent operations in Zambia, enabling them to integrate into local supply chains and strengthen their regional presence.

According to ZimTrade, demand in Zambia has been strongest for agricultural inputs and machinery, processed foods, FMCG products, industrial equipment and construction materials.
Product demonstrations, particularly for agricultural machinery and technical solutions, continue to attract strong interest from buyers by allowing them to assess performance and suitability on site.

ZimTrade said Zambia remains an attractive export destination for Zimbabwean companies due to its proximity, established transport links and improved trade facilitation measures at the Chirundu One-Stop Border Post.
Shared consumer preferences, similar agricultural production systems and long-standing commercial relations have also contributed to the growing acceptance of Zimbabwean products in the Zambian market.

The organisation has urged participating companies to use the exhibition as an opportunity to identify new business prospects, strengthen existing partnerships and build sustainable export growth in regional markets.
