The Zimbabwe Liberation War Victims Association (ZLWVA) has commended President Mnangagwa’s unwavering commitment to the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
ZLWVA is a constituency of people with disabilities sustained during the liberation struggle.
Commenting on the recent engagement between President Mnangagwa and the association’s members, national spokesperson Cde Collins Kasiya applauded the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the national development agenda.
Cde Kasiya said the President’s engagement with the disabled community showcases a commitment not only to dialogue but also to empower them.

“President Mnangagwa is a true leader who has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the rights and empowerment of all citizens, including those with disabilities,” he said.
He said President Mnangagwa is a beacon of hope and a champion for the rights of all Zimbabweans, especially those who have faced unique challenges due to disabilities.
Cde Kasiya said the National Disability Policy, launched in 2021, set a more structured approach to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities.
ZLWVA also lauded Government’s initiatives that are aimed at economically empowering individuals with disabilities through funding and support for their enterprises.
“This shows a sincere effort to uplift those who have been disproportionately affected by marginalisation,” he said.
