Zimbabwe continues to shine on the global stage at Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, with its Pavilion drawing over 4,000 visitors daily.
The spotlight will intensify this Wednesday as President Mnangagwa is set to grace Zimbabwe’s National Day celebrations, a high-level event expected to showcase the best of the country’s tourism, culture and investment potential.
The Zimbabwe Pavilion has become a standout attraction at the international expo, which has drawn participation from over 150 countries.
Zimbabwe is already turning heads and captivating global audiences with its immersive displays and compelling narrative.
“Zimbabwe is capturing global attention at Expo 2025 Osaka! Each day, over 4,000 visitors are thronging the Zimbabwe Pavilion, with even greater numbers on weekends, eager to experience the country’s unique tourism offerings.
“A major crowd-puller has been the Virtual Reality installations, which transport guests to the heart of Zimbabwe’s majestic landscapes and cultural heritage,” the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry said in a statement on Monday.
The high-tech window into Zimbabwe’s natural beauty and cultural richness has left a lasting impression on audiences from across the world.
The Ministry noted that during a recent visit to the Pavilion, the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Honourable Barbara Rwodzi, interacted warmly with guests and personally distributed promotional material.
A key highlight of her engagement was the overwhelming interest in the vibrant National Fabric, which has emerged as a firm favourite among attendees.
The National Fabric, which beautifully showcases Zimbabwean identity, is the brainchild of the Patron of Tourism, Her Excellency the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa.
The fabric’s distinctive patterns and colours have resonated with visitors, with many eager to take home a piece of Zimbabwe’s cultural soul.
Honourable Rwodzi expressed great optimism for the future of the country’s tourism sector, saying, “Zimbabwe is poised for a significant increase in tourist arrivals, driven by the enthusiasm, engagement and high volume of enquiries generated at the Expo.”
She affirmed that the interest sparked during this global event is a strong indication that more travellers are ready to Experience Zimbabwe.
Wednesday’s Zimbabwe National Day is expected to be a landmark moment in the country’s participation at the Expo.
In addition to President Mnangagwa’s presence, a vibrant cultural showcase featuring traditional music, dance, and cuisine will be held, reinforcing the nation’s warm spirit and unmatched hospitality.
