THE National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) says it is ready to play host to the 2025 Southern Region Senior Athletics Championships which will roar into life at the University of Zimbabwe on Saturday.
It is a two-day event which has attracted fields from the region and Nigeria who are taking part as guests.
The Nigerians’ presence is expected to add a bit of a sparkle especially in the sprints and horizontal jumps.
“The University of Zimbabwe Sports Complex has been abuzz with final preparations—painting a highly encouraging picture of readiness, determination and national pride.
“Thanks to tireless collaboration between the Ministry of Sport, the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC), NAAZ, and the University of Zimbabwe, the venue is undergoing its final touches to ensure a world-class experience for athletes, officials, dignitaries and spectators from across the Southern African Region,” said NAAZ in a statement on Thursday morning.
