Zimbabwe is one of the leading countries in administering a robust national Covid-19 vaccination rollout programme in Africa, a development that has seen foreign nationals coming to the country to get the inoculated, President Mnangagwa has said.

In a State of the Nation Address at State House today, President Mnangagwa said while all foreigners are welcome to come and get vaccinated in Zimbabwe, they will be asked to pay a small fee as a way of boosting the country’s medical tourism.

President Mnangagwa paid homage to Zimbabweans for facing both the Covid-19 pandemic and the sometimes painful economic transition with “typical courage” adding that while the country’s health system has demonstrated resolute resilience, the economy has also begun to prove the naysayers wrong.
