The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) has unveiled a new mandate for exporters and clearing agents, set to take effect on Monday.
In a public notice shared via X on Friday, Zimra specified that a double-stamped consignment note, waybill, bill of lading, Form No. 1, or another pertinent document must be included as authorisation for loading goods destined for export from Zimbabwe.
This requirement is in accordance with Section 63(1) of the Customs and Excise (General) Regulations (Statutory Instrument 154 of 2001).
Exporters and clearing agents are urged to ensure compliance with this new requirement to avoid delays in the movement of cargo.
