Zimsec hunts for director

“The director’s role will be to create the vision needed to invigorate the organisation, appoint and develop appropriate staff and manage the effective functioning of its services,” it said, adding the director was accountable to the Board of Zimsec.

Duties of the director include overseeing the overall performance of the organisation, promoting professional synergies with other examination boards and stakeholders at policy level.

Zimsec said a competitive remuneration package in keeping with the importance of this post would be offered. Applicants should have a Masters degree and a post graduate qualification in Education to be considered for the post. Meanwhile deputy director, Mr Esau Nhandara, is the acting director. — New Ziana.
