Zanu-PF Chivi South National Assembly candidate Cde Killer Zivhu has promised to change the face of the constituency through a number of developmental projects.
Speaking to thousands of party supporters at a campaign rally in the constituency last week, Cde Zivhu said Zanu-PF was bringing real change to Zimbabwe through its presidential candidate President Mnangagwa.
“I am already working on coming up with a website for Chivi South where people from this constituency will share ideas on how we can develop our area,” he said.
“There will also be job opportunities that we want our local youths to benefit from.
“Before elections, my Internet will be connected and villagers will access free Internet services from my homestead.”
Cde Zivhu initiated many developmental programmes that have changed the face of the constituency as a councillor.
Speaking at the same rally, Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman Cde Ezra Chadzamira chided MDC Alliance for wasting time holding demonstrations and making unrealistic demands to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, saying the party cannot stop a “moving train by barking”.
He said the opposition party was wasting its time through holding demonstration against ZEC when they know that what the independent electoral body was doing was above board.
Cde Chadzamira said Chivi South had not, in the history of the country, been led by the opposition and that trend should continue to eternity, as the other parties had nothing to offer.
“The MDC Alliance is wasting its precious time by gathering its members in Harare to confront ZEC over what we all know will never change,” said Cde Chadzamira.
He said the MDC Alliance was a disjointed lot that could not win the hearts of the electorate, which was appreciating Zanu-PF’s developmental programmes.
