THE Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce will next Friday host the inaugural edition of the couples business dinner which is aimed at bringing together partners in business and acquire knowledge about business survival skills in the wake of the current economic meltdown.The event will also aim to bringing business linkages between couples and articulate on issues affecting couples in business. ZNCC regional manager for Manicaland and Chiredzi, Ms Perpetual Guwila, in an interview, said various speakers from Harare were scheduled to deliver presentations on issues affecting couples in business.
The event came at a time when industries and businesses in Manicaland province have either closed shop or teetering on the brink of collapse.
The event is scheduled to start at 7pm and each couple will part with $60.
“We are committed to see businesses in the province resuscitated and prosper. This event is specifically targeted at couples who are into business together. Presenters scheduled to address guests at the three-hour event will speak on issues such as how to remain steadfast and focused in the wake of national economic crisis and how couples should support each other in improving family business.
“We have noted with concern situations where wives fail to canoe their husbands’ business when they die. It is also targeted at entrepreneurs whose spouses are not part of their business but would benefit from being part of it.”
