Chindove said she will be attending a pre-delegates registration meeting together with ZOC development officer, Primrose Mhunduru.
“The next deadline is for the chef de mission and the development officer, to attend a pre-delegates registration meeting in Johannesburg on May 1 to confirm all data relating to registration of Team Zimbabwe.
“All National Olympic Committees in Southern Africa will attend these meetings together with the members of the LOCOG,” said Chindove.
She also appealed to the corporate world for support as the team prepares for the Games.
“ZOC have been involved in discussions with local and international kit manufactures in an effort to secure both the competition and ceremonial kit. ZOC continues to appeal to local corporate support for funding to ensure adequate preparation and equipment for the team,” said Chindove.
She said there were some athletes still in the qualifying process and they were looking forward to more athletes meeting the qualification requirements in their different disciplines.
