Mighty Warriors ready for Zambians

And while Zambia seem to have an easier task as they face Olympics-bound South Africa, it is a different tale for Zimbabwe who will have to face the challenge of World Cup finalists and eight time champions Nigeria.
The Mufakose Queens goalkeeper said they were concentrating on their preparations.
“We are not rusty going into the weekend’s match as we have been training at our clubs when we were not having national team commitments.
“So, we are okay and we have used the past two weeks to start our preparations for the match against Nigeria.
“The match against Zambia will help us to improve from where we left off against Botswana months ago.
“We played Zambia last year and they really gave us a tough time although we managed to beat them. I remember the first leg at Rufaro when their best player Lupopo (Kabange) was full of running.
“But the turning point for us was when I saved their penalty and finally won 1-0 before winning 3-1 in Lusaka.
“We know they have improved a lot but we want to win on Saturday as we preparing for an important match.
“Morale is high in camp and some of the players were playing in the Under-20 team and played a number of competitive games and should give the team an advantage,” said Chingawo.
Mighty Warriors strikers Rudo Neshamba and Rutendo Makore, who were part of the team which lost to Falconets in the World Cup qualifiers, are expected to lead the attack while the skipper or her reserve goalkeeper Chido Dzingirai can be tasked with the duty of guarding the goalposts.
In midfield, Aces Youth Academy’s Marjoury Nyaumwe, Tsitsi Mairosi, Nokuthula Ndlovu and Emmaculate Msipa are likely to be fielded.
Coach Rose Mugadza has called up some new players into the team.
And her defence is likely to have some new faces following the return of defender Lilian Masase who was in Norway and missed a number of assignments. In the absence of veteran leftback Ruvimbo Mutyaviri, who is in Sweden for trials, the coach will also be trying other combinations.
