In her first performance in Bulawayo since her arrest by the police last month, Zoey did not disappoint her loyal fans who might have been worried that her legal woes would have seen her lose some of her trademark moves.
The show lived up to its billing as the queen of pole dancing entertained a sizeable crowd of people who had gathered to see her in action.
The ball was set rolling by the Red Angels who got on stage at 10pm and started getting the crowd going with their famous skills on the pole. The Red Angels kept the crowd captivated before the appearance of Zoey on stage later on.
The show’s star attraction, Zoey made her appearance at around midnight. She was greeted by loud cheers from an expectant crowd whose appetite for her on-stage antics had been whetted by the performance of her Red Angels.
Clad in an outfit that covered her bare essentials and left little to the imagination, Zoey did not disappoint as she gave a performance befitting her status as one of the most sought-after entertainers in the country presently.
Zoey lived up to her pre-performance promise of restricting crowd involvement in the show to avoid having any further clashes with the law. The show was largely incident-free, although one reveller who appeared to have had one too many did jump on stage and tried to dance with the sexually suggestive dancer. However, he was removed from the stage without much incidence, despite the protestations of the crowd who wanted him to continue dancing on stage.
One reveller who spoke to Chronicle Entertainment on condition of anonymity said Zoey’s performance had been satisfactory as her moves did not appear to have drastically changed since her arrest.
“The show was good and it was nothing less than we have come to expect from Zoey. Her arrest does not seem to have changed much in terms of her act. I think as fans we now only look forward to her showdown with Bev,” he said.
