AFTER months of having to shuttle more than 300km to play their home games, ZPC Kariba are excited they have finally received the green light to host Premiership matches at Nyamhunga.

The club, which finished in second place in their debut last season, have been playing home games at Gwanzura in Harare as their stadium had failed to meet the standards of the league.

ZPC Kariba chairman Munyaradzi Nduna feels their side will have a fair chance to compete for points in front of their home supporters.

FC Platinum will be the first team to travel to Nyamhunga this Saturday.

ZPC Kariba are under the guidance of caretaker coach Paul Chimazileni.

Nduna described his team as a dedicated side who are ready and will do their best to make use of home advantage.

“We have a team of dedicated players who love football. Playing home is the best thing which has happened to us and so we would want to make use of the home advantage.

“All our players are fine and we are glad that we have no injuries at the moment.

“Our team has been training twice every day, we are ready for the match and we are definitely going to do well,” said Nduna.

Nduna also highlighted that their ground was in good condition and morale among players and fans was high.
