ZPC KARIBA won the Uhuru Cup bronze medal after dismissing Caps United at White City Stadium.

It was sweet revenge for ZPC Kariba over a team that went a long way in denying them the Premier Soccer League title last season.
But it was Makepekepe which nearly grabbed an early lead with a Gerald Phiri strike, from a promising position, going just wide with two minutes on the clock.
The first ZPC Kariba chance came in the 27th minute but Samuel Makawa’s shot was weak.
In the 58th minute, ZPC Kariba introduced Pride Tafirenyika and the midfielder found the target barely a minute after being introduced.
Desperate for an equalizer, the Caps United technical department introduced three players Takudzwa Mahori, Tinovimba Musekwe and the 18-year-old Blessing Nyamuzihwa, but the move failed to yielded any fruits.
ZPC Kariba mentor Saul Chaminuka was impressed by the performance of his side.
“The boys played very well. As a team we had talked about getting something out of the game and that’s what we did,” he said.
Despite the defeat the Green Machine’s coach Mark Harrison applauded his players for a good performance.
“The guys played very well despite the loss and in the next three years, Caps United will be the best team in the country,” said Harrison.
