Zvishavane residents blast national broadcaster

Lounge and clubs in the mining town to follow the match on national television on Saturday night.
The match was scheduled to be televised live from 7pm on ZTV.
There is no ZTV transmission here in Zvishavane but people can watch the national broadcaster’s programmes via the DStv bouquet.
“We had a technical problem from Sudan. I am not so sure what happened. If you phone me on Tuesday I will be in a position to tell you what happened”, Sivukile Simango, the ZBC Public Relations Manager, said.
But the fans here were not amused.
“We wanted to watch our team in action after failing to watch the match in Zvishavane when Caf moved the match to Rufaro,” said Tichaona Chivasa, a lawyer in the town.
Fatima Shava, an employee at a fast food outlet in the town, said, “ZBC has let down the people. The best they (ZBC) have to do is refund FC Platinum    since they failed to screen the match.”
