African Olympics president visits Zim

International friendlies to help Hwange’s Caf preps

ZIMBABWE’S representatives in the Caf Confederations Cup, Hwange, are lining up a series of international friendly matches against Botswana teams as part of their preparations for the continental campaign.
Hwange, who finished fourth in the Castle Lager Premiership last season, have been drawn   against Jamhuri of Zanzibar in the preliminary round that kicks off    mid-February.
Chipangano are making a return to the same competition after making an appearance in 1993 in the then African Cup of Cup Winners.

‘I have the oldest collection of calendars’

WHO has the oldest and biggest collection of the famed Natbrew or Castle Soccer Stars of the year calendars?
Whatever the answer is to the above question does not matter much but 70-year-old Sahluko Siwela, a barber and a Gweru United soccer player has collected 26 calendars. His collection dates back to 1971, two years after the brewery and sportswriters came together to introduce the award.
