Beitbridge ReporterTHE 13 MDC-T members in Beitbridge who allegedly defied a police order by convening an unsanctioned meeting at a house in Dulibadzimu were yesterday granted bail.
Patricia Ndlovu (43), Win Mutasa, both local urban councillors, Farai Chinobva (34), Kimberley Nokuzotha (23), Elliot Mabeza (46), Daniel Mkhwananzi (72), Wellington Chidzingwa (58), Maphios Macheka (39), Rhodes Nleya (59), Grace Runesu (54), Islam Esleam Madhosi (45), Gibson Ndou (41) and Philemon Kwinika (42), who is the district secretary for Beitbridge East were not asked to plead to charges of contravening section 26(5) of the Public Order and Security Act (POSA), Chapter 11:17 (failure to comply with a notice prohibition issued by the regulatory authority) when they appeared before Beitbridge magistrate Mrs Auxilia Chiumburu.
