Ironically, the meeting, which was later abandoned due to the violence, was meant to address intra-party violence and also fill vacant provincial executive posts.

SOUTH Africa will this week take some initial steps to unseat the US dollar as the preferred worldwide currency for trade and investment in emerging economies.
Thus, the nation is expected to become party to endorsing the Chinese currency, the renminbi, as the currency of trade in emerging markets.

Man nabbed for making false robbery report

POLICE in Bulawayo have arrested  a 27-year-old man from Nkulumane 12 suburb for making a false armed robbery report.
Herbert Imbayago Dzikatirai of House Number 15298 in Nkulumane 12 is accused of fabricating a case of armed robbery at Nkulumane Police Station.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) co-ordinator for Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and South, Assistant Commissioner Erasmus Makodza, confirmed the incident.
