BULAWAYO councillors are divided on how to handle rampant sand poaching on the outskirts of the city with some proposing the legalisation of the practice while others feel the development would cause chaos.

THE Bulawayo City Council has closed North End Swimming Pool due to a suspected leak that has resulted in high usage of treatment chemicals.

This was revealed during a recent full council meeting in which the director of housing and community services, Isaiah Magagula reported that the pool was closed on 23 February.
