Govt approves $2,1 billion education plan

CABINET has approved the Five-Year Education Medium Term Plan, which requires about $2,1 billion to improve the education sector in the country.

The Government last year came up with a short-term stability plan for the education sector, after realisation that most schools countrywide were now without adequate infrastructure and resources, which was affecting the pass rate.

Addressing more than 3 000 troops from 2 Brigade undergoing a battlefield training exercise in Mutoko on Tuesday, Chief of Staff General Staff, Major General Martin Chedondo, said soldiers should be involved in national politics as they were part of the politics.
