BULAWAYO residents yesterday thronged the council’s Revenue Hall to protest against triple billing and unexplained amounts appearing on their bills for May amid revelations that the local authority disconnected water to 14 504 households and properties last month.

The 14 504 households were disconnected from 27 May.

Council officials failed to explain the bills and instead asked residents to return home and take their water meter readings and bring them the next time they come to inquire about their bills.
