Some ex-convicts behind spate of robberies

SOME ex-convicts released from prisons countrywide recently are believed to be behind some of the armed robberies being committed, police have confirmed.
This comes after two people over the weekend lost a Toyota Mark X, seven cellphones, groceries and more than US$6 400 cash to five armed robbers who raided their homes in the city in separate occasions.

The panic and despondency that gripped Zimbabwe when Unicef announced that it was withdrawing its support for the Basic Education Assistance Module (BEAM), a programme which provides educational assistance to 400 000 orphans and under-privileged children, should instruct us to fully take the responsibility of educating our children rather reposing it to foreigners, who sometimes due to the caprices of politics could not be reliable or trustworthy.
