Lack of funding threatens National Youth Games

ORGANISERS of the 10th edition of the National Youth Games yesterday roped in Oliver Mtukudzi in an agreement to use the music superstar to promote the event.
Tuku, who is scheduled to leave for an overseas tour, was given a symbolic gold medal by Games’ chief executive, Stan Kasukuwere.

ZC team leave for Benoni

ZIMBABWE junior cricket teams left for South Africa this morning to take part in the Eastern Junior Club Cricket Association festival, which starts tomorrow in Benoni.
Walter Chawaguta will lead the Under-17 team while Wayne James will be in charge of the Under-16 squad and David Mutendera will guide the Under-14 squad.
Other countries taking part in the festival include Dubai, Botswana, Namibia and hosts South Africa.

THREE Borrowdale Primary School Rugby players have been selected to represent Harare at the Owen Davies junior inter-provincials set for August.
The Inter-provincials have been slated for August 3-4 at Springvale School in Marondera.
