‘Sciences a must in rural schools’

THE teaching of science subjects in rural schools should be compulsory in order to equip rural pupils and make them qualify for further studies in institutions of higher learning,Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo said yesterday.

Addressing parents and pupils during the speech and prize giving day ceremony at Tahangana High School in Mangwe District in Matabeleland South, where he was the guest of honour, Ambassador Khaya Moyo called for combined efforts towards promoting the teaching of science subjects in rural schools.

He pledged Government support towards upgrading the schools adding that the teaching of computers and practical subjects was a key ingredient towards empowering pupils for future development.
