US says no to UN-linked election observers

ATTORNEY-GENERAL of the US State of Texas, Mr Gregg Abbott, has barred a United Nations-linked organ­isation from observing the country’s presidential elections. He said the observers would not enter polling stations and warned they risked being arrested if they violated the State’s laws.
