Demonstrations mar MDC-T’s 13th anniversary

Demonstrations against party leaders marred the MDC-T’s 13th anniversary at the weekend as Women of Zimbabwe Arise (Woza) protested against Mr Morgan Tsvangirai’s abuse of women while party supporters showed their displeasure with Bulawayo provincial chairperson, Mr Gorden Moyo.

A splinter group of Woza demonstrated against party leader Mr  Tsvangirai at the celebrations at White City Stadium in Bulawayo on Saturday, forcing him to apologise over his sex escapades.

Another group of demonstrators, the MDC-T activists, staged a mini demonstration against Mr Moyo.
Woza castigated the MDC-T leader for his loose morals. The women said Mr Tsvangirai was not an exemplary leader.

The group protested during the celebrations and handed over a petition to senior MDC-T members.

In the petition, a copy which Chronicle is in possession of, the women accused Mr Tsvangirai  of rampant abuse and disrespect for women.
