Defections rock MDC-T
Senior ReporterThree MDC-T councillors have defected to the Professor Welshman Ncube led MDC in Gutu, Masvingo province.
In a bid to cover up for the defections, the MDC-T claimed it fired the councillors on corruption related charges.
Zimta elects new president
Bulawayo BureauTHE Zimbabwe Teachers Association has elected Mr Richard Gundane as its president, replacing Mrs Tendai Chikowore, who has been at the helm of the organisation since 2004.
Mr Gundane would be deputised by Mrs Shamiso Makumbe from Masvingo Province and Mr Thomas Muzondo from Mashonaland East.
