Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has suspended Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe for one match after he breached the team’s camp code of conduct.

In a statement released on Monday, ZIFA said the centre-back had violated team regulations, prompting disciplinary action in line with established protocols.

“Hadebe has been found in breach of the team’s camp code of conduct,” the statement read. “Following this, a disciplinary decision has been taken in line with team regulations. He has been suspended for one match and will miss the final of the Mukuru Four-Nation Tournament against Zambia. The player has since apologised to the team and the Association and has accepted the disciplinary outcome.”

The suspension rules Hadebe out of Zimbabwe’s final clash with Zambia at Obed Itani Stadium in Francistown, Botswana, on Tuesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3pm CAT.

The Warriors will now have to reshuffle their defence as they chase glory in the regional tournament.
